Residential Water Testing
Certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia, Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services (DCLS), Environmental Systems Service, Ltd. (ESS) analyzes drinking water for a variety of applications. If you are purchasing a new home, drilling a new well, or concerned about your general water quality, you can count on ESS to provide quality results in a timely manner. To ensure proper sample collection, ESS provides sampling instructions and sample collection containers with proper preservatives. Additionally, ESS adheres to a strict chain of custody procedure from the sample receiving through analysis and reporting. ESS is certified by the Virginia DCLS for the drinking water analysis of the following:
- Coliform Bacteria
- Conductivity
- Turbidity
- Alkalinity
- Total Dissolved Solids
- Fluoride
- Sulfate
- Orthophosphate
- Nitrite
The normal turn-around time for results varies based upon the testing required and the incubation period. Coliform results for a new home loan or new home well are typically available the next business day; results for additional parameters are usually available in less than ten days. Sample collection or pick-up is also available at an additional charge.
